Cons x Civilist collection

Available Nov. 21st

Since its debut in 2009, Alex “Foley” Flach has established Civilist as a household name in the global skateboarding community. The Berlin-based store serves as a culture hub for creativity, music, art and skateboarding. On November 18th, 2017, Converse and Civilist celebrate the role Berlin has played in driving global street culture with interpretations of the One Star Pro and Chuck Taylor All Star Pro inspired by the city.

Both Converse CONS and Civilist have a long history in the skateboarding and streetwear communities, offering products to the innovators that sit at a unique intersection where skate style and functionality collide to create an alternative lifestyle.

The Converse Cons x Civilist pack pays homage to the history, evolution and grit of Berlin using the entire surface of the sneaker to tell its story.

Two iconic silhouettes, the One Star Pro and Chuck Taylor All Star Pro, have also witnessed significant and compelling moments in culture and continue to influence and be interpreted by youth culture.

Designed for skateboarders, the pack takes its inspiration from two of the most famous landmarks representing Berlin – the TV Tower in the East, and the Radio Tower in the West.

The CONS One Star Pro in white and CONS CTAS All Star Pro in black represent the stark contrast between the two, and come together as a pack to represent the united Berlin as we know it today. Refined with subtle details, both silhouettes feature a debossed Civilist logo on heel strap, a Berlin city outline on the tongue and transparent soles backed by the visuals of Berlin’s highest buildings.

The sneakers also utilize Nike Lunarlon technology for enhanced cushioning and traction rubber for optimal board feel.

The collection launches on Tuesday November 21 exclusively at www.converse.com.au, Converse Emporium, Fast Times and UPS for RRP $140.
