Skateboard helmet safety awareness is a collaborative event focused on safety and community leadership for all ages.

On September 19t children and adults will have the opportunity to learn about the culture of skateboarding,
and the practice of skateboard helmet safety. This event will host a variety of techniques to instill helmet awareness
so that a variety of ages may experience and benefit by first hand examples from qualified guest speakers.
Speakers will include TBI survivors, Neurological Surgeons, Concussion Specialist, and skateboarders that practice regularly with
a helmet. Demonstrations will be by invitation only and by qualified riders that participate in helmet safety consistently. Riders
and guest participating are not limited to skateboarding as biking and in line skaters are also invited to attend, this is a public event. Registration at the entrance of the skatepark is encouraged if a guest of this event wishes to receive a helmet at no cost to them, there will be a commitment certificate and prizes related to skateboarding,
as well as specialist to discuss the proper fit of a helmet.
Without involvement and donations by organizations, individuals, hospitals and business's this event would not be financially possible.
