The countdown is on to what has been heralded as one of skateboarding's biggest bowl contests, showcased right on the shores of Australia's most iconic beach in Sydney.

Vans Bowl-A-Rama Bondi 2012 will see skateboarding hall-of-famer Steve Caballero and wonder-kid Pedro Barros come back to defend their titles and compete against some of the heaviest shredders on the planet. With a record prize purse of $80,000 up for grabs, everyone's going to be going balls out to claim their piece.
