Fast Times Best Foot Forward 2019

Riverslide Skatepark - Melbourne

It is always risky running events in the winter months, but we couldn’t have asked for better weather, with a hotter than average day completely rain free. The level of skateboarding talent on the day was insane! Everyone who came down brought their A game and hammers were dropping left, right and center. Special shoutout to the people who traveled from interstate to compete.

This year Riverslide created a new mystery obstacle “The Shark Pit” built as the feature for the best trick cash jam. Essentially a terrifying open pit wheel chair ramp with no cross bar on the end. Ben Currie put on an absolute show landing over 6 tricks in the best trick, taking home the most cash overall. Nollie Heel first try after landing a Full Cab over the gap was ridiculous.

Massive congratulations to 21-year-old Joey Cormack from Byron Bay for taking out the top spot, taking home an all expenses paid trip to Texas, USA. Joey’s qualifying and finals runs were both of a professional standard. Good luck in the finals Joey!

Special thank you to:

MC’s Anthony Mapstone and Pat Gemzik
