This is a little summary of the Bordeaux Greenskate edition that took place on Sunday 14th April. The Bordeaux Longskate Club organised a gathering of about 40 people with their board ! The club, very involved in durable development process, already appears on a few supports to promote their action : official video for Bordeaux Town about our « green «involvement , best practises guide for eco friendly clubs, etc....so organising this Bordeaux Greenskate edition was natural to us :)

The Greenskate edition allowed us to show longboarding as an alternative transportation mean. All kind of people joined us : young, old, girls, etc... not only the members of the BLC were there but dozens of riders we never met before in town.! So cooooollll...

The meeting point was situated in center town, at the skatepark along the quayside. As weather was shiny, thousands of people were along the quayside having a sun bath : it was a good opportunity for us to be seen by many.

The cruise started at 4 pm along the quayside, crossed the main bridge, and climbed up to the Palmer park , which is one of the highest point in town : the park is situated in a socially disadvantaged area ..about 30 spectators from the suburbs joined us when we stopped for a little spot for a slide session !

We all skated till 8 pm, stopping at 3 different spots (push session, stand up slide session, slide session) and burning the asphalt all around!

This edition was with no doubt a real success and pics and vids will be here soon to prove it...no doubt too there will be a Bordeaux edition of Green skate in 2011 Group sk8ers.
