- 1963-the beginning of the skateboard era!
- What's your set-up?
- Black G&S FibreFlex Response with Indy 101's and lime green FibreFlex wheels and Rockin Ron bearings with vintage Rad Pads. But I am a G&S collector of sorts with some Santa Cruz and Hobie decks thrown in for good measure. G&S FibreFlex decks rule-they were the best decks back in the 70's hands down! My current rider is a Logan EarthSki "The Cruiser" deck (by Gravity Skateboards) with Paris Trucks and orange 76mm Gravity wheels-nice deck!

- What was your first skateboard?
- 1964 Hobie Super Surfer (mahogany 25" model 9 board) with the white Super Surfer clay wheels-got it for my 13th birthday-I thought that I had died and gone to heaven. My parents really did not have much money and they really shocked me with this one-I was afraid to ride it!!! I still own it 46 years later and just had it refinished and it now has NOS Trucks and NOS white clay Hobie Super Surfer Wheels on it and a repro sticker. It was refinished by Gordon (Gordy) Leinenman from North Las Vegas (former Pepsi Team rider from back in the day), he did one hell of a job!

- Concrete Wave-used to read Skateboarder Magazine back in the day. Skatebparders Journal Magazine-what a class act!

- Nah-no sponsors just an old guy loving the sport and who happened to grow up at the right time in skateboarding's infancy! But a lot of good people have helped me along the way such as; Mike Foley, Mike Huddleston, Mark Dover, Gordy Leineman, Buddy Carr, Henry Hester, John Hutson, Judi Oyama, Deb Gordon, Dave Anderson, Patti McGee, Scott Berman, Paul Howard, Laurie Downer, Attila Aszodi, Ed Issacs, Blair Rhodes, Dennis Judstra, Jack Smith, Russ Howell and others-they have all made a mark on my skateboarding life one way or another-for without them I would have nothing!

Offset Slalom Trucks
Well thanks to those of you who responded to my cry for help-I appreciate your help. However, on Friday, May 22, I was contacted by a friend of mine from San Diego who had a friend who wanted to sell one Tracker Slalom Offset Slalom Truck and I am now happy to say my quest is over! I am now the proud owner of an unused Tracker Offset Slalom Truck! So my mission is complete-and I can not wait to get this one so I can build my Vintage Santa Cruz John Hutson Model!
