Got Jacked by 6 year old ghetto kid

I was at a skate demo/contest/gathering at Whitehall Sk8park in Phila. today after helping out with the "gears for groms" program at Pop's playground. I was letting a kid use my deck while I sat throughout the day. I saw him later kind of peeking behind a ramp. I walked up that way a little after and didn't see him. I asked if anyone saw him and the other kids said yeah he just went running down the street. With my board of course. I didn't know kids started that early with devious behavior. Oh…See More

Board Toss

I was skating at Black Diamond yesterday (old Vans park in Moorestown NJ) when I saw something come flying past me. Some big kid or young man pushed me out of his way. I then realized that it was a board toss as there was a game of S.K.A.T.E. contest going on in part of the park. (Needless to say I could not participate in this contest) I used the momentum of the push and turned and chased that deck down fifty feet away. That dude was pissed. If he hadn't of pushed me by the time I would have…See More

Profile Information

Favorite type of skateboarding?
I like it all!
What year did you begin skating?
prior to 1976 which is when I got my first urethane wheels.
What's your set-up?
Currently ridind a Scum (fish shape) with indys and Danny Way park formula wheels. Will skate on whatever.
Where do you live?
Lansdowne Pa.
Age:
47
Sex:
Male
Occupation?
Transportaion Diirector / Child-Care Director
My top three skateboarding influences:
I have no heroes but I would say Dogtown era skaters, Other local kids who I skated with around the "Bones Brigade" era since I skated by myself for many years and I found others who were into it as a sport/recreational activity/ and the people young and old that I skate with now although I am on the "maintenance" plan now once in a while I do something new or bring back the old because I still get pumped up!
What was your first skateboard?
Other than the two by four with metal wheels I had a store bought 70's board w/o a name. I then had an aluminum rocker deck with ACS 500's. It had two Solar Radiation Wheels on the back and Two No name quality urethane wheels on the front. I still have the Solar Radiations and the other wheels. I gave the trucks to a friend who collects skate stuff. I was always infactuated with the wheels. I guess if you rode on steel, then clay you know what a godsend yrethane is!
What skate mags do you read?
I read allk types of mags when I can get them.
Are you sponsored? If so, please list your sponsors.
I am sponsored by me, myself, and I. I never understood this part of skateboarding as it didn't exist when I started.
Do you use safety gear when you skate?
Sometimes
