Over the course of a few years, a ramshackle spine ramp built in an abandoned gas control room has evolved into a full blown concrete playground. Born from many rainy weekends and party fuelled fires the entire project was made up as it went along. Most of the surface is free-poured, uneven and the building itself? Well, the whole thing is just sketchy.

Shralpfest was a celebration of our late friend and Portside founder Nick Degotardi. Held on his birthday and named after one of his tattoos this was a festival for friends and acquaintances to get wild and celebrate his life. We did this by getting tinned, ragged, listening to awesome music and most importantly shralping!:

No rules, no douchebags and no sayers. Just bands ripping, artists painting, noblemen skating and friends living.

Keep your ear to the ground as Halloween approaches with a new obstacle and theme on the horizon, plus maybe even a council permit if we’re lucky.

If you’d like to shred the Portal, put out your feelers. We don’t openly advertise it’s location but it’s not secret either.

Portside is for everyone.
